This beautiful treasure features a custom ordered, completely unique, double terminated blue lace agate covered in a very thin and gentle titanium coat.
The titanium makes the stone appear to almost have an "oily" film with a rainbow reflection when it is seen in indirect light.
Made in my studio after my illustrations and designs, 100% of sterling and fine silver.
This piece is insp ired in the Roman version of the god Dionysus: "Bacchus" who was considered the "Free Father" of the liberalia Festival.
Besides being the patron of viniculture, wine, male fertility, and guardian of the traditions, rituals and freedoms attached to coming of age and citizenship, but the Roman state treated independent, popular festivals of Bacchus as subversive, partly because their free mixing of classes and genders transgressed traditional social and moral constraints. Celebration of the "Bacchanalia" festival was made a capital offence, except in the toned-down forms and greatly diminished congregations approved and supervised by the State. Festivals of Bacchus were merged with those of Liber and Dionysus.
For you, what's the meaning of transgression?
This beautiful piece includes sterling silver 23" chain.
